The visit follows community concerns over illegal encroachments. Officials assured swift restoration and legal steps to protect Waqf land. The move has been welcomed by local residents seeking justice and preservation of the graveyard.

The visit has been welcomed by residents of Kodangal, who have been demanding protection and restoration of the graveyard for months. Locals expressed hope that the government will now take swift action to prevent further encroachments and disrespect to the sanctity of the burial ground

We are taking this issue seriously and will ensure that the graveyard is protected under Waqf laws. Any unauthorized activity will be dealt with as per the law,” said Syed Aszmatullah Hussaini, while addressing the media at the site.
