Hyderabad: The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) on Tuesday launched ‘Yatradanam’, a donation-based initiative to sponsor bus trips for orphans, the elderly, differently-abled, and underprivileged students.

Citizens, NRIs, corporates, and NGOs can contribute to the Yatradanam Fund to support pilgrimages, tourist trips, and recreational tours. Depending on donations, RTC will arrange AC, Super Luxury, Deluxe, and Express buses, with bookings required a week in advance.

Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar and RTC MD V.C. Sajjanar announced donations of ₹1 lakh each to kickstart the programme. For bookings, people can contact local depots or call 040-69440000 / 23450033.
