Hyderabad: Telangana Waqf Board chairman Syed Azmatullah Hussaini has expressed gratitude to the Supreme Court for giving a patient hearing to their concerns on the Waqf Amendment Act 2025. Speaking after the interim order, he said the board “respects the decision” and continues to place full faith in the country’s judiciary and Constitution.

Hussaini underlined that while the interim relief was partial, the court has kept its doors open for further representations. “This shows that justice is alive in our system. We will consult religious and social organisations and present our collective stand before the apex court,” he assured.

Thanking the Supreme Court for acknowledging the community’s objections, Hussaini maintained that the Waqf Board would carry forward the fight in a democratic and constitutional manner.

Analysis: His statement strikes a hopeful chord at a time when Waqf institutions across India are closely watching the legal developments. By highlighting faith in the judiciary and calling for united consultations, Hussaini is positioning the Telangana Waqf Board as a responsible and proactive guardian of community interests.
