Telangana to Shift Select Government Offices to T-Hub and Other State Complexes
Telangana government announces relocation of several departments to T-Hub and Housing Board complexes in Hyderabad to improve administrative efficiency.
The Telangana government has decided to relocate several state government offices across Hyderabad, with some departments set to function from T-Hub and other government-owned complexes, officials said on January 22.
Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao has instructed heads of departments to make necessary arrangements for the smooth shifting of offices as part of the reorganisation plan. The move involves offices currently operating from scattered locations across the city.
According to official details, the Begumpet divisional office of the Commercial Taxes Department will be among those shifted to T-Hub. Departments dealing with Energy, Environment and Forests, which are presently spread across multiple premises, will be relocated to the Tuljaguda Complex of the Telangana Housing Board.
The government has also earmarked the Mozzamjahi Market building to house offices of Revenue (Endowments) and Revenue (Stamps and Registration). Meanwhile, offices of the Food and Civil Supplies Department functioning in Malakpet, Yakutpura and Charminar circles will move to the Chandravihar Building of the Housing Board. The same complex will also accommodate offices of the Youth Advancement, Tourism and Culture Department, currently operating from the NCC Group Headquarters in Secunderabad.
Several Finance Department offices located in Tarnaka, Chandrayangutta, Motigalli and Narayanguda are set to be shifted to the Gruhakalpa Building at Nampally. In addition, sub-registrar offices at SR Nagar and Balanagar will move to the Health Department premises at Vengalraonagar.
The government has further notified that offices of the Director (Electronics), Managing Director of T-Fibre, and CEO of T-Works will be relocated to the NAC campus, while offices of the Revenue (Prohibition and Excise) Department will begin functioning from the R&B office premises at Errum Manzil.
Officials say the reshuffle is aimed at optimising the use of government infrastructure and improving coordination between departments. For citizens, consolidating offices could reduce confusion over multiple locations, though the transition phase may temporarily affect accessibility. Clear public communication on new addresses will be key to ensuring a smooth shift.
