Telangana to Release ₹5,653 Cr Rythu Bharosa Aid to 45 Lakh Farmers on April 20
CM Revanth Reddy to disburse ₹5,653 crore under Rythu Bharosa scheme to over 45 lakh Telangana farmers in second phase payments.
The Telangana government is set to release ₹5,653 crore under the Rythu Bharosa scheme on April 20, extending financial support to over 45 lakh farmers across the state. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will formally launch the second phase of payments during a public programme in Jayashankar-Bhupalapalli district.
Officials said the funds will be credited to farmers who are yet to receive assistance for the ongoing Rabi 2025–26 season. The event is expected to draw participation from several neighbouring districts, reflecting the scale of the initiative.
The latest tranche follows an earlier disbursement of ₹3,590 crore released in March to small landholders owning up to one acre. Authorities have been conducting preparatory meetings at the local level to ensure smooth implementation of the scheme.
The decision to organise the event in this region has also attracted political attention, coming amid recent shifts within the state’s political landscape. While this context is part of ongoing developments, it is not officially linked to the scheme’s rollout.
For farmers, timely financial assistance remains crucial as input costs continue to rise. Ensuring prompt credit into bank accounts and clear communication at the ground level will be key to maximising the scheme’s impact during the current agricultural season.
