At WEF Davos, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy outlines the Telangana Rising 2047 vision and explores innovation partnerships with Israel and global firms.

Telangana marked a high-profile start at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy unveiling the state’s long-term “Telangana Rising – 2047” roadmap to global leaders and industry captains. On the opening day, the Chief Minister outlined the government’s development-first approach and pitched Telangana as a future-ready destination for innovation and investment.

A key engagement during the visit was a meeting with Alon Stopel, Chairman of the Israel Innovation Authority. The discussions centred on expanding cooperation to support innovation-led startups, with particular emphasis on agriculture and climate-focused solutions.

Both sides agreed to deepen collaboration across artificial intelligence, deep-tech, health-tech, agri-tech, cybersecurity and aerospace, and to roll out pilot programmes in Telangana in partnership with Israeli startups. These pilots are expected to test scalable technology solutions in AI and other emerging sectors within the state.

Beyond bilateral talks, the Telangana delegation also held interactions with representatives of major global companies and governments, drawing interest in areas such as AI-driven healthcare, skills development, urban infrastructure, future cities, traffic management, cybersecurity and startup ecosystems. The Chief Minister reiterated the goal of transforming Telangana into a $3 trillion economy by 2047, with Hyderabad positioned as a global GCC and innovation hub.

Telangana’s Davos outreach reflects an effort to move beyond investment pitches toward technology partnerships with real-world pilots, which could speed up implementation on the ground. Collaboration with Israel, known for its startup ecosystem, may particularly benefit sectors like agri-tech and climate resilience. For Telangana, sustained follow-through on these discussions will be key to converting global interest into tangible projects and jobs at home.
