Saudi authorities invite applications for Ramzan Iftar permits at the two holy mosques, aiming to streamline and digitise meal distribution.

Saudi Arabia has opened applications for organising Iftar meals during the holy month of Ramzan at the Grand Mosque in Mecca and the Prophet’s Mosque, according to an official announcement.

The initiative is being implemented by the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque in coordination with the Ehsan National Platform for Charitable Work and the Nusuk Foundation, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Authorities said the move is aimed at organising and regulating the distribution of Iftar meals for fasting worshippers, while ensuring higher standards of transparency and efficiency. By linking the process to national digital platforms, the system is designed to improve oversight and ensure meals are distributed in a smooth and orderly manner.

The programme also seeks to enhance the overall experience for pilgrims and worshippers by ensuring that charitable activities inside the two holy mosques are conducted in a dignified and well-coordinated way.

With millions of worshippers expected during Ramzan, officials say structured digital permits will help reduce overcrowding and duplication in meal distribution. Applicants are advised to complete registrations early and follow approved guidelines to avoid disruptions during peak prayer times.
