Revanth Reddy to Address Film Unions in Hyderabad Ahead of Jubilee Hills Bypoll; Heavy Rainfall Alert for Telangana
Telangana CM Revanth Reddy will meet film union members in Hyderabad on October 28, even as the state braces for extreme rainfall due to Cyclone Montha. His interaction comes days before key roadshows and the high-stakes Jubilee Hills by-election.
Rains and Rallies: Telangana Prepares for a Busy Week
Telangana is gearing up for both extreme weather and intense political activity as Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy plans a major outreach to Hyderabad’s film industry amid forecasts of torrential rainfall.
On October 28, Reddy will address members of the Telugu Film Industry Employees Federation and the 24 Crafts Union at Yousufguda Police Grounds. The gathering, aimed at thanking the Chief Minister for resolving disputes between film producers and technicians, is also seen as a morale-booster for Congress workers ahead of the Jubilee Hills by-election.
Bollywood Glamour Meets Bypoll Strategy
The felicitation event is drawing attention for its potential star power, with speculation around possible appearances by Akkineni Nagarjuna and Allu Arjun. Their presence could signal a thaw in relations between the government and Tollywood — a shift that may subtly benefit Congress’s image in the high-profile constituency.
Following the meeting, Reddy is expected to hit the campaign trail with roadshows on October 30–31 and November 4–5, as the party intensifies its push before polling day. Naveen Yadav will contest from Congress against Maganti Sunitha of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).
