Revanth Reddy Appears Before Nampally Court, Hearing Deferred to February 4
Telangana CM Revanth Reddy appeared before the Nampally court in Hyderabad in connection with multiple cases, with the hearing adjourned to February 4.
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy appeared before the Special Court for Public Representatives in Nampally on Saturday evening in connection with multiple cases registered against him over the past several years. After brief proceedings, the magistrate adjourned further hearings to February 4, 2026.
The matters listed before the court include cases linked to a 2016 student-related incident, an alleged unauthorised protest at Osmania University over unemployment, a COVID-19 period case concerning mask regulations registered by Tirumalgiri police, and another FIR from Suryapet district over a political dharna held without prior permission.
Revanth Reddy attended the proceedings in person. His counsel, Visweswara Rao, told reporters that the Chief Minister denied any wrongdoing when questioned by the court. The lawyer also pointed out that three earlier cases against his client have already been quashed, while several others remain pending and will be taken up in subsequent hearings.
The court granted time to both sides to prepare further submissions, listing the next date in February. Revanth Reddy is expected to continue complying with court directions as the cases move forward.
The Chief Minister’s personal appearance underscores the legal scrutiny that often follows political activism from earlier years. While such cases are routine for many senior leaders, their continuation keeps legal accountability in public focus and offers courts the opportunity to bring long-pending matters to closure.
