Rahul Gandhi vows to expose “vote chori” with a “hydrogen bomb” of proof, targeting PM Modi and the Election Commission. BJP dismisses the claims as misleading and irresponsible.

Congress leader and LoP Rahul Gandhi has once again sharpened his attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Election Commission, alleging large-scale “vote chori” (vote theft). Speaking to reporters, Gandhi said his party would soon release a “hydrogen bomb” of proof that would expose the manipulation of elections.

“We have open-and-shut proof. What we are going to show will leave no doubt about the vote theft that helped Modi ji,” Gandhi claimed, without confirming if the allegations extended to Varanasi. He cited examples from Karnataka, including Mahadevpura and Aland, where voter roll manipulations are under CID investigation.

The BJP, however, strongly rejected these claims. Senior leader Ravi Shankar Prasad accused Gandhi of spreading misinformation to mislead youth and create unrest. “Such statements are against democracy and the Constitution,” Prasad said, adding that Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar could not be held responsible for alleged irregularities in 2023, since he took charge only recently.

Political observers say Gandhi’s aggressive stance may energize Congress supporters but risks deepening clashes with the BJP ahead of upcoming elections.
