Rachakonda Police Move to Extern Repeat Offender Naveen Reddy for Disturbing Public Order
Rachakonda Police issue externment notice to rowdy sheeter Naveen Reddy of Abdullapurmet for repeated violent activities disrupting public peace.
Hyderabad: In a decisive action aimed at curbing habitual violence, Rachakonda Police Commissioner G. Sudheer Babu has ordered the externment of K. Naveen Reddy, a 32-year-old rowdy sheeter from Mannuguda, Abdullapurmet. The decision follows a comprehensive report from the Adibatla police, detailing Reddy’s repeated involvement in cases of assault, attempted murder, intimidation, and rioting.
The externment order, delivered through the ACP of Ibrahimpatnam, directs Naveen Reddy to submit an explanation within seven days as to why he should not be barred from entering the Rachakonda Commissionerate limits for a period of six months. Authorities say the move is part of an ongoing crackdown on individuals whose actions repeatedly threaten public safety and order.
Commissioner Sudheer Babu reviewed the offender’s record and concluded that his continued presence in the area posed a serious risk to community peace, prompting the legal action under preventive provisions
Analysis:The externment order highlights Telangana Police’s tougher approach to habitual offenders, especially in fast-developing zones like Rachakonda where industrial and residential activity is growing rapidly. Such measures, though preventive, also raise the need for stronger rehabilitation programs to reduce repeat offences rather than relying solely on relocation.
