President Droupadi Murmu Arrives in Hyderabad for Winter Stay at Rashtrapati Nilayam
President Droupadi Murmu arrives in Hyderabad for her winter stay at Rashtrapati Nilayam, with key official engagements scheduled.
President Droupadi Murmu reached Hyderabad on Tuesday for her annual winter stay at the historic Rashtrapati Nilayam in Secunderabad, continuing a long-standing presidential tradition that reflects the constitutional office’s national character.
She was formally received at Hakimpet Air Force Station by Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, and senior state officials. The ceremonial welcome highlighted the significance of the President’s visit to the state.
As part of her schedule, President Murmu will inaugurate the National Conference of Public Service Commission Chairpersons on December 19, underlining the role of strong institutions in upholding constitutional governance. On December 20, she is set to address a gathering at Brahma Kumaris Shanti Sarovar, where she will speak on “Timeless Wisdom of Bharat,” focusing on India’s cultural and spiritual heritage.
The President’s winter stay in Hyderabad reinforces the idea of decentralised constitutional presence beyond the national capital. Such engagements also bring national institutions closer to states, encouraging dialogue on governance, ethics, and public service.
