AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi backs Telangana CM Revanth Reddy’s call for Centre to release ₹7,000 crore GST compensation, stressing federalism and state rights.

AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi has backed Telangana chief minister A. Revanth Reddy’s call for ₹7,000 crore GST compensation from the Union government.

In a post on X, Owaisi urged the Centre to honour federal principles and support states hit hard by recent GST rate changes. He said Telangana should not be penalized for its growth and stressed that fiscal autonomy of states must be protected.

Revanth Reddy had earlier warned that the new GST structure would hurt state revenues, while also pressing for immediate financial relief from New Delhi.
