Telangana CM Revanth Reddy, Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu and Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar greeted BRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao on his 72nd birthday.

Warm wishes flowed in from across the Telugu states as Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president K. Chandrasekhar Rao celebrated his 72nd birthday on Tuesday, February 17.

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy conveyed greetings to his predecessor, wishing him good health, happiness and a long life, according to an official communication from the Chief Minister’s Office. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu also extended his wishes, stating that he prayed for Rao’s continued well-being.

Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar joined in, offering prayers for Rao’s long and fulfilling life. Within the BRS, celebrations were held at the party’s headquarters in Hyderabad, while his son and BRS Working President K. T. Rama Rao shared birthday greetings.

Rao, widely known as KCR, led Telangana as its first Chief Minister from 2014 until 2023, shaping the state’s early administrative and political trajectory following its formation.

The cross-party messages reflect the enduring stature KCR holds in regional politics, even as Telangana witnesses a new political phase. Such gestures, while ceremonial, often signal the nuanced relationships that continue beyond electoral rivalries in the southern states.
