KTR Telangana Under Congress Is a Circus, Not a Government, Claims
BRS leader K.T. Rama Rao ridiculed Congress MLAs for criticising their own government, calling the Telangana administration a “circus” marked by chaos and inaction.
Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao on Wednesday launched a sharp attack on the Congress government, accusing it of descending into chaos. He said even ruling party legislators were openly exposing failures within their own administration, proof that governance in Telangana had turned into a “circus.”
Citing examples, KTR referred to Palamuru MLA Yanam Srinivas Reddy, who recently admitted that village development projects were stalled due to non-release of state funds. Similarly, Yellareddy MLA K. Madan Mohan Rao bypassed state machinery altogether, writing directly to the World Bank for relief funds after heavy rains hit his constituency. In yet another case, Jadcherla MLA Anirudh Reddy Janampally threatened to set fire to an industry out of frustration with the Telangana Pollution Control Board’s inaction.
KTR wrote on X, “Endless anarchy and limitless ignorance reign in Telangana today. This is not a government, it is a circus.”
Analysis: KTR’s remarks go beyond political rhetoric—they highlight deep cracks within the ruling party that risk undermining governance. When lawmakers themselves seek outside help or resort to extreme measures, it reflects not only administrative paralysis but also a potential erosion of public faith in the state’s institutions. For voters, these episodes serve as reminders that political instability often delays grassroots development, leaving villages and industries stuck in uncertainty.
