BRS leader K.T. Rama Rao ridicules the Congress government in Telangana, citing MLAs’ public criticism of their own party. He calls the state’s governance a “circus.

Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on the Congress-led Telangana government, branding its functioning a “political circus.” He pointed to a string of incidents where ruling party legislators themselves criticized the administration, raising questions over its credibility.

Highlighting examples, KTR said the Palamuru MLA openly admitted that state funds were not being released for local development. Meanwhile, Yellareddy’s legislator bypassed the government entirely by writing to the World Bank for assistance after heavy rains battered his constituency. In another case, the Jadcherla MLA threatened to set fire to an industry, accusing the State Pollution Control Board of negligence.

Calling this a sign of “endless anarchy and ignorance,” KTR alleged that the Congress was not just failing the people but also embarrassing itself through infighting and administrative lapses.

Analysis: KTR’s remarks reflect the intensifying political tug-of-war in Telangana, where governance has become a major electoral talking point. While his comments amplify opposition pressure, the Congress government now faces a practical challenge—regaining public trust by addressing local grievances before dissent from within weakens its position further. For citizens, this episode underscores how internal party rifts often slow down decision-making, affecting everyday issues like infrastructure and industry regulation.
