BRS leader K.T. Rama Rao accuses CM Revanth Reddy of targeting poor families with Sunday demolitions in Gajularamaram, sparking political outrage.

BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Sunday launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, accusing his government of demolishing poor people’s houses in Gajularamaram on a court holiday. Speaking to party activists in Jubilee Hills, KTR said the move violated earlier High Court directions and called it a direct assault on the underprivileged.

He alleged that the Congress government has failed to deliver progress over the last two years while continuing to use bulldozers against slum dwellers. KTR also vowed to help rebuild a party worker’s house that was demolished and warned residents that voting for Congress meant “licensing more demolitions.”

Political observers note that such controversies risk deepening distrust between the government and weaker sections, especially in urban bastis where housing insecurity is already high. For families affected, clarity on rehabilitation and legal rights will be crucial in the coming months.
