KTR Accuses Revanth Reddy of Turning Telangana into ATM for Congress
BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao alleges Telangana’s funds are being diverted to Congress leadership in Delhi, slams Revanth Reddy over debt and land issues.
BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Sunday launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, alleging that Telangana is being treated as an “ATM” for the Congress high command in Delhi.
In a series of posts on X, KTR claimed the state’s resources were being diverted to the party leadership while the government pleads financial constraints in implementing its electoral promises. He referred to what he described as 420 assurances made to farmers, women, youth and employees, questioning why funds were unavailable for welfare commitments.
The BRS leader further alleged that Telangana had accumulated ₹3 lakh crore in debt over the past two years without visible development outcomes. He accused the administration of failing to deliver on infrastructure and welfare while diverting public money away from priority sectors.
Raising land-related concerns, KTR cited the Musi river beautification project, claiming lands belonging to the poor, tribals in Lagacharla and Hyderabad Central University were being encroached upon. He also criticised industrial land allocations under the HILT policy, terming them a systematic misuse of state assets.
Drawing a strong analogy, KTR compared the current regime to the Dandupalyam gang, accusing it of exploiting Telangana for political survival. He urged citizens to stay alert, alleging that financial mismanagement could jeopardise the state’s future.
The allegations are likely to intensify political sparring in Telangana, with the ruling Congress expected to respond in the coming days.
