Khairatabad Ganesh Immersed in Hussain Sagar

Hyderabad: The 69-foot Khairatabad Ganesh was immersed in Hussain Sagar on Saturday, marking the conclusion of Ganesh Chaturthi festivities. The idol’s grand procession passed through Saifabad and the Telangana Secretariat before reaching the lake.

Nearly 50,000 idols are being immersed in Hussain Sagar alone, with the process expected to last 40 hours. Around 29,000 police personnel, 200 swimmers, DRF teams, and 15,000 sanitation workers have been deployed for smooth and safe conduct.

Earlier, CM A. Revanth Reddy offered prayers at the Khairatabad pandal. Meanwhile, Balapur Ganesh laddu was auctioned for ₹35 lakh, while another pandal in Bandlaguda saw its laddu fetch ₹2.32 crore.
