K Kavitha Says New Political Party Will Be Launched in Two Months
Telangana Jagruthi chief K Kavitha announces plans to launch a new political party within two months during her visit to Tirupati temple.
Telangana Jagruthi president K. Kavitha on Thursday revealed that she plans to launch a new political party within the next two months. The announcement was made during her visit to the Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple in Tirupati.
Speaking to reporters after offering prayers, Kavitha said the proposed party would be announced “with Lord Balaji’s blessings,” signalling what could be a significant shift in Telangana’s political landscape. Kavitha is the daughter of BRS chief and former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.
During the interaction, she also commented on the controversy surrounding Tirupati laddu preparation, saying rumours about adulteration had hurt the sentiments of devotees. She urged authorities to ensure that the sacred offering continues to be prepared with devotion and strict adherence to tradition.
Kavitha’s statement comes shortly after a Delhi court discharged her, along with former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia and others, in the excise policy case, observing that it found no overarching conspiracy or criminal intent in the matter.
The announcement of a new party could potentially reshape alliances in Telangana politics. However, political observers note that the success of any new formation will depend on its ability to build grassroots support and clearly define its agenda in a state already dominated by strong regional and national parties.
