PM Modi says his Jordan visit strengthened ties in renewable energy, water management, digital cooperation, and cultural exchange.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi described his visit to Jordan as “highly productive,” thanking King Abdullah II and the people of Jordan for what he called a strong spirit of friendship and cooperation between the two nations.

According to the Prime Minister, discussions during the visit focused on expanding collaboration in critical sectors including renewable energy, water management, digital transformation, and cultural and heritage exchanges. He said the outcomes of the talks are expected to create new opportunities that benefit citizens in both countries.

Modi also expressed appreciation to Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II for personally seeing him off at the airport, calling it a gesture that reflected the warmth of bilateral relations.

India’s growing engagement with Jordan signals a broader push to strengthen partnerships in West Asia beyond trade, with emphasis on sustainability, technology, and cultural diplomacy. For India, cooperation in water and renewable energy also offers practical lessons that could support domestic development goals.
