Huzurnagar Job Fair Extended; 275 Companies to Recruit Thousands of Youth

Hyderabad: Responding to a surge in interest from job seekers, the Telangana government has extended the Huzurnagar job fair to October 25 and 26. Officials said the event has already attracted 36,000 registrations, with participation expected to cross 40,000 candidates.

More than 275 companies from local, national, and international sectors will take part in the two-day event, offering opportunities across multiple industries.

Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy, who reviewed the preparations on Friday, urged candidates to stay patient as interviews will be conducted in a phased and organised manner. He described the initiative as part of the Congress government’s broader employment drive, aimed at empowering rural youth and narrowing the urban–rural job gap.

Analysis: The massive turnout at the Huzurnagar job fair reflects the growing demand for employment opportunities in smaller towns. Such state-backed fairs not only connect youth with recruiters but also highlight the need for long-term skill development and industry partnerships to sustain job creation in Telangana’s semi-urban regions.
