Congress candidate Naveen Yadav clinched a decisive victory in the Jubilee Hills byelection, finishing with a commanding 24,729-vote lead. The November 11 poll saw a total turnout of 1,94,631 voters, with Yadav securing 98,988 votes. Both the BRS and BJP nominees exited the counting centre before results were declared.

Yadav’s lead widened steadily through all ten rounds  from a slim 47 votes in the first round to nearly 25,000 by the end. Counting was conducted at Kotla Vijay Bhaskar Reddy Stadium, where entry was tightly controlled and senior officials supervised proceedings across 42 counting tables.

Analysis:
This result signals a strong consolidation of Congress support in a high-profile constituency that has often been politically competitive. The steady expansion of Yadav’s lead in each round also reflects disciplined booth-level mobilization. For local residents, the landslide outcome may translate into heightened expectations for quicker development works and stronger constituency-level engagement from the ruling party.
