The Congress organized a Booth Committees Convention in Jubilee Hills, attended by Meenakshi Natarajan, Vishwanathan, Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and G. Vivek, Waqf Board Chairman Syed Azmatullah Husseni, and party candidate Naveen Yadav.

As part of its preparations for the upcoming Jubilee Hills by-election, the Congress party on Thursday organised a Booth Committees Convention at the SR Convention Centre in Shaikpet Division, Hyderabad.

The event was led by the Division Election Incharge, with the presence of key leaders — Meenakshi Natarajan, AICC in-charge for Telangana, and Vishwanathan, AICC Secretary. State ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and G. Vivek, along with Congress candidate Naveen Yadav, also participated, accompanied by several senior party leaders and local representatives.

Speakers at the meeting reportedly discussed organisational readiness, voter outreach strategies, and coordination among booth-level workers. The convention aimed to strengthen ground-level mobilisation and ensure a high voter turnout in one of Hyderabad’s most closely watched constituencies. Meenakshi Natarajan stated that party workers who perform actively at the booth level will be given opportunities to work in the District Congress Committee.

Analysis: The Congress appears focused on tightening its grassroots network ahead of the by-poll, a seat seen as both symbolic and strategic in Hyderabad politics. The presence of multiple senior leaders signals the party’s intent to project unity and seriousness in urban constituencies where it traditionally faces stiff competition. For local voters, such conventions often indicate a shift toward more direct engagement—a move that could reshape campaign dynamics if sustained beyond election season.
