Telangana BJP chief N Ramchander Rao accuses CM Revanth Reddy of hypocrisy for criticising Left in Kerala while aligning with them in Telangana.

A political war of words has erupted after Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao criticised Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy for targeting the Left during his campaign in Kerala.

Taking to social media, Rao accused the Congress of adopting contradictory political positions, alleging that the party maintains alliances with Left parties in Telangana while opposing them in Kerala. He described this approach as inconsistent, using the phrase “Telangana mein dosti, Keralam mein kusti” to underline his point.

The remarks came after Revanth Reddy campaigned in Kerala and criticised the state government led by Pinarayi Vijayan. His comments, however, did not go unchallenged within the alliance framework. CPI leader Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao cautioned that while political critique is valid, targeting allies could weaken broader opposition unity.

He emphasised that Congress and Left parties are working together both in Telangana and within the INDIA bloc at the national level, suggesting that internal friction may inadvertently benefit political rivals.

The exchange highlights the complex nature of coalition politics in India, where alliances often shift across states based on local dynamics. For voters, such contradictions can raise questions about ideological consistency, while for parties, managing these alliances without internal conflict remains a strategic challenge ahead of elections.
