AIMIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi alleges demolition of mosques and houses in Telangana, likens CM Revanth Reddy to UP CM Yogi Adityanath.

AIMIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi on Thursday launched a sharp attack on Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, drawing parallels between him and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath over alleged demolition drives.

Speaking at a public event in Hyderabad on February 26, Owaisi claimed that houses, mosques and dargahs were being demolished in Telangana in a manner similar to actions taken in Uttar Pradesh. He alleged that there was “no difference” between the two administrations and went on to equate the Congress and the BJP on this issue.

The MLA further accused both governments of failing to address concerns of the minority community despite seeking their electoral support. He claimed that administrative actions were creating insecurity among sections of the population.

Owaisi’s remarks come amid ongoing political friction in the state, with leaders trading charges over governance and communal issues. He asserted that the community would respond politically in the future.

Separately, AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has recently voiced concern over what he described as a rise in communal incidents in Telangana, adding to the broader debate over law and order in the state.
