ABVP secures majority posts in Hyderabad University polls with record turnout, leaving NSUI behind.

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) swept the University of Hyderabad students’ union elections, taking most top posts including President, Vice-President, and General Secretary.

This year’s polls saw 81% turnout, with Braille ballots introduced for the first time to help visually impaired students vote independently.

ABVP leaders said the win reflects students’ rejection of divisive politics, while the Congress-backed NSUI suffered a major blow, even trailing behind NOTA in some areas.

Observers note the result could boost ABVP’s influence in Telangana’s student politics ahead of future state-level campaigns.
