Telangana CM Revanth Reddy announces phased release of ₹9,000 crore under Rythu Bharosa scheme, benefiting 70 lakh farmers across the state.

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has announced that ₹9,000 crore under the Rythu Bharosa scheme will be disbursed to nearly 70 lakh farmers in a phased manner over the next 45 days.

The announcement was made during a public programme in Siddipet district, where the Chief Minister also released the first instalment of the financial assistance. According to the plan, ₹3,600 crore will be credited initially, followed by ₹5,400 crore within the next 20 days, with the remaining amount to be released in the subsequent phase.

Reddy said the scheme is part of the government’s broader focus on strengthening agricultural support, adding that higher allocations are being made compared to previous years. He also highlighted efforts to expand the oil palm sector, including plans for large-scale cultivation and processing infrastructure.

During the visit, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones for multiple development works across Siddipet district, including healthcare facilities, a district jail building and urban infrastructure projects.

The phased release of funds is expected to provide timely financial support to farmers ahead of key agricultural activities. Experts note that consistent and predictable disbursement of such schemes can help farmers manage input costs better, especially during periods of rising expenses and uncertain market conditions.
