Imphal: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s expected visit to Manipur, at least 27 BJP MLAs, including former CM N. Biren Singh and Speaker Thokchom Satyabrata, held a closed-door meeting at the party’s state office on Wednesday.

The meeting, chaired by state BJP chief A. Sharda Devi in the presence of MPs Sambit Patra and Ajeet Gopchade, reportedly focused on party strategy and preparations for the PM’s visit.

Meanwhile, the Coordination Committee (CORCOM), a coalition of six banned militant groups, has announced a boycott of Modi’s visit.
